T.V.: Well I'll Be...

I am a fashion enthusiast. I used to be ashamed of that. Partly because my dad (bless him) thought that my interest in it and plan to study it was a silly idea and some part of me after that thought that it meant I was shallow. I thought that as I passed the 20 mark, I should be concerned with the... ...well that's just it, what exactly am I supposed to be enthusiastic about? I'm not saying that my entire life revolves around fashion but why should I be ashamed that it's a part of me? We're all individuals and entitled to our own passions as long as they don't harm anyone else.

Fashion is just one of the many aspects of design that I love. I am perfectly happy with looking at clothing, fabrics, embellishments, talking about sewing machines and overlockers, sharing on sewing forums, designing and making for hours on end. I love all the different shapes and forms fashion can take. I received an e-mail from my father no less, which in part expresses what I mean in the previous sentence.
