Studio Love

Went to go jam with the beautiful Benjamin a while ago at his cosy little studio. He's got a new sofa in there..I say new but it's probably older than the 2 of us combined! When I saw it I immediately said 'Chuck out the chintz!' (anyone remember those Ikea ads??) I love it though, it has history and although I may not wanna know all about it, it's a great addition especially because of all the mod cons he's got plus the old thing is soooo comfy it's like sitting in grandma's lap!

Old girl in all her glory

Don't think this pic does the studio any justice. He pretty much made the entire thing from scratch; ceiling, walls, desks..oh yeah!

So we jammed, just catching up. He's just gone back to college studying what he loves and he's enjoying it. He played me a track he had done before I arrived (I got there late which is so unlike me lol), I loved it and began to write and in 20 minutes we had the song written and recorded. I really love the song. It's simple and imperfectly perfect lol if that makes sense. I just sung it how I felt it and didn't re-record any bits because the song feels so...personal and real that I wanted to record it like that. Although I do listen to it over and think may be I should do another take but Ben says he wont allow me to! For me it's basically a worship song, realising there's nothing, no one, nada that can convince me to doubt what I believe. Here's a snippet...
